PROGRAM GOAL
To provide training and ongoing support and services in community based work sites,
leading to permanent employment for persons with developmental disabilities.
WORK MODELS
Enclaves: Four to eight people employed at a work site with MCDS staff
supervision.
Individual Job Placement: The individual is placed in a community job site and
receives intensive initial job coach training. Normally the business directly
employs the person hired.
WHAT DO SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS DO?
They assist persons with disabilities to obtain and maintain employment in the community.
They work with both employers and employees to make the job a success.
